#AskSean: Early Planning is the Key for a Successful Pebble Beach Golf Vacation

When planning for your Pebble Beach golf vacation, especially with the 2019 U.S. Open being held on Pebble Beach Golf Links, we highly recommend planning at least 6 months in advance for peak season travel dates. For travel dates during lower periods, ie., winter months, 4 months in advance can normally do the trick.

To give you and your group the best chance of success in terms of ideal lodging, whether it is the most cost-efficient room or higher end options, plus ideal tee times on any of the 4 golf courses at Pebble Beach Resort, in particular Pebble Beach Golf Links, early planning pays off.

There are many factors to maneuver around when it comes to a Pebble Beach golf vacation. For example, working around major maintenance schedules is a must. You do not want to, as we do not want it for you, to be putting on greens that are coming off a major aerification. Other factors to overcome are large corporate groups that book a year in advance. Same with overseas International travelers. And of course, the simple fact that Pebble Beach Resort is one of the most, if not the most, sought after golf destination in the world.

Hosting the 2019 U.S. Open

While planning this early is not always a must, it certainly helps. Too often we have groups requesting quotes for trips one or two months in advance. While we may have better luck for weekday stays, and some weekend stays, this is not always the case.

Remember, Pebble Beach is hosting the 2019 U.S. Open, and as of today's (October 15th, 2018) post being published, tee times are already limited on Pebble Beach Golf Links for the latter part of May 2019.
