There are five golf courses at Destination Kohler, which were designed by the renowned architect Pete Dye. This is a brief description of each golf course:
- The Straits: The Straits Course at Whistling Straits is one of the top 100 golf courses in the world and offers players spectacular views. It sits on two miles of rocky Lake Michigan shoreline. The fairways are lush, and the greens are remarkably smooth. The golf course is among the five that are part of the historic American Club Resort, which has recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.
- The Irish: The grassland-and-dunes aspect of this course is a deceivingly tranquil landscape. The Irish Course has the same dunescape found on its more famous sister, Straits Course, but has some major differences. The fairways are bent grass, not fescue. The golf course has the only blind par 3 found at Whistling Straits, the 13th playing 183 yards over sand hills to a big green ringed by over a dozen bunkers.
- The River: This golf course features target landing areas, wide undulating greens, and water or gorges on 14 of the 18 holes for a challenging yet rewarding playing experience. It's part of the Blackwolf Run golf courses. While the Straits Course features spectacular views and a picturesque location, the secluded setting of this course, combined with the rolling terrain and running river, offers a relaxing atmosphere.
- The Meadow Valleys: As both a subtle and devilish course, Meadow Valleys features rolling meadows and deep ravines, which reflect the natural features of Wisconsin terrain. This is perhaps the most underrated golf course at Destination Kohler. While the Sheboygan River isn't in play as much on Meadows Valley as it is on the River, there are many deep bunkers and tricky pin positions.
- The Baths: This golf course pays homage to Kohler's nearly 150-year history of design excellence. Featuring a green completely hidden from view, the Baths will do a beautiful job of enhancing your experience at Kohler, and playing will be a memorable experience that might keep you coming back.
