Pasatiempo Golf Club

For casual and pro golfers around the globe, the Pasatiempo Golf Club has been regarded as one of the landmarks in America's golf history. Founded by U.S. Women's Amateur Champion Marion Hollins, the course opened in 1929, just weeks before the stock market crash. That's why many described it as a 'true representation of golf during the Roaring 20s.'

The name Pasatiempo, Spanish for "passing of time", perfectly encapsulates its refined spirit. Hollins enlisted legendary architect Alister MacKenzie in bringing her vision to life. With sweeping views of Monterey Bay, it became MacKenzie's favorite creation. Likewise, it exemplifies the famed architect's genius: dramatic bunkering, intricate greens, and a layout that rewards creativity and precision.

Nearly a century later, it continues to be among America's finest golf courses. It has been the recipient of multiple awards and recognition. Most recently, it landed a spot on Golf Magazine's Top 100 Courses (2024–2025). It was also included in Golf Digest's America's Greatest Public Courses (2025). Today, Pasatiempo remains a bucket-list destination for golfers worldwide.
